Recent Research Progress in the Pathogenesis of Primary Angle-closure Glaucoma

Primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG)is a maj or subtype of glaucoma,caused by acute or chronicelevation of intraocular pressure due to angle closure, with or without changes in glaucoma optic disccharacteristics and visual field damage .Angle closure is the basic pathological process of PACG,which is relatedto abnormalities of iris,lens,ciliary body and choroid .With the deepening of research,it has been found thatemotional and psychological stress factors are also closely related to the occurrence and development of PACG .In recent years,with the development of molecular biology techniques in the study of glaucoma,many genesrelated to the pathogenesis of glaucoma and their mechanisms of action in the disease progression have beendiscovered .Therefore,this paper will elaborate on the pathogenesis of PACG from the perspectives of anatomicalmechanism,psychological stress and gene .
