Biography: Director and Party Committee Secretary (at bureau level) of the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technical Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and former Secretary-General of the China Environmental Journalists Association. Long engaged in ecological and environmental protection publicity, management, and governance, he took the lead in launching a number of environmental campaigns and created the public welfare column Enlightenment of Environmental Protection after becoming the Secretary-General of the China Environmental Journalists Association in 2005, making important contributions to China's ecological and environmental protection cause.

Supported the implementation of the Action Plan for New Pollutants Governance, led the research for the Regulations on Environmental Risk Control of Chemical Substances, and drafted the Measures for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances and supporting systems.Authored/co-authored 20 national standards, published over 20 papers, and 8 books.
