Aims & Scope
Editor-in-Chief: Jiaqi Liu
CL, upholding the core mission of “geological science and technology ensuring safety and sustainable development,” promotes collaborative innovation in volcanic science, resource engineering, and disaster prevention and control. It focuses on multidisciplinary intersections related to volcanic systems and Quaternary environmental evolution, covering key research directions including volcanic geological processes and mechanisms, Quaternary volcano–climate–environment interactions, green development technologies for volcanic resources (geothermal, minerals, building materials), multi-parameter monitoring methods for volcanic activity and disaster risk assessment models, prediction of climatic effects of volcanic eruptions, as well as the full-chain research spectrum encompassing basalt fiber preparation techniques, composite material development, and engineering applications.
The journal features dedicated columns such as “Reviews and Prospects” and “Technical Reports and Case Studies,” systematically presenting the latest advances in volcanic research for resource utilization, hazard early warning, and novel material development, while providing scientific and technological support for natural resource management, disaster prevention and mitigation, and the safety of major engineering projects.
